Breakfast timing was a bit rushed, making it hard to savor the meal. Despite noise complaints from other guests, the owners’ Irish humor boosts the experience.

The welcome at The Acorn was warm, as the manager greeted me right at the door. Clean rooms with exceptionally comfy beds made settling in easy. The supply of tea and coffee was generous, a nice touch after a long day. The breakfast served was truly a highlight, particularly the perfectly cooked fry-up which energized my mornings wonderfully. The proximity to the harbour offered splendid views just a short walk away. noise from the owners' lounge was quite disruptive at times, especially with the loud TV. I also found the breakfast timing a bit rushed, which took away from the experience. Despite these issues, the charm of the lodge and the tasty breakfast made it worthwhile. Looking forward to returning in the summer with family for a longer stay.

Breakfast was disappointing, particularly the undercooked bacon, and the overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming. The owner's assumptions about us based on appearances left a negative impression, making the entire experience uncomfortable.

This place suits me perfectly with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and good breakfasts. The staff once helped me with a cold drink during a heatwave. I’m definitely coming back for a holiday!
